Mr.
Narayan Singh Manaklao is the Founder Principal and of this institution.
Now his son Mr. Bhairoon Singh Manaklao (Ph.D.) is helping him run this
establishment and raise money for this charitable venture. They have
managed not only to establish this institution, but also enlarge it
to take in more polio victims, now numbering 90 children and growing.
In addition they admit children who are deformed, and in the new re-habilitation
wing young men who are on drugs and want to be free of this curse. This
institution is responsible for looking after a total of about 350 children
and young men, mainly poor or orphaned. The younger children are taught
to read and write. The children are fed and housed and uniforms are
provided free. They are given a training for a profession in life; like
being a cobbler, tailor, welder or carpenter - giving them a chance
to survive when they go out into the harsh, wide world. This institution
has other people who selflessly offer their best for the children, on
a very limited salary. All the help is concentrated in the Rajasthan
area.
