Dr. Jack Preger (MBE) from the U.K., started his work in 1979 on the streets of Calcutta, and built-up a team of paid helpers and volunteers. This finally turned into a Registered Society in 1992. Today, with Philippa Goddard and a 150 strong, paid local staff and volunteers who join together to do wonderful work, they run 5 different Clinics at:
1) Sealdah - for adults.
2) Pediatric Clinic for children at Tala Park.
3) Clinic, and School Pediatric Clinic, for children.
4) Leprosy Clinic at Chitpur
5) Plus 3 non-formal schools for over 3000 slum children who are fed an afternoon lunch, and given basic education to give them a start in life.

This organization is helping many poor persons in need and crosses all barriers of cast,creed and religion.
